Desiree & Daniel | St Margaret College | Wedding
Desiree and Daniel are such a lovely couple, really laid back, relaxed with a great sense of humor. Their wedding was back in October, which happened to be one of the wettest months in 2021. Having planned an outside wedding, Desiree and Daniel had to do some last minute changes on their venue decor to install gazebos just in case a rainstorm happened on their big day. Not something you want to take care of on the day of your wedding.

Jennifer & Fillippo | Chateau Buskett | Wedding
I had the pleasure to photograph the big day of Jennifer and Fillippo.
Fillippo had his family fly to Malta from Italy, and we started off the day by taking some getting ready shots of the groom and his groomsmen at The Waterfront Hotel in Gzira. We then headed to Jennifer’s family home before making our way to the ceremony at St Catherine of Italy Chapel in Valletta. Valletta offers some stunning locations for photos, so we spent a couple of minutes in the Upper Barakka Gardens for some couple’s photos. Our final location was the magical Chateau Buskett.

Annalise & Terence | Olive Gardens | Wedding
Annalise and Terence originally had to get married in May, but their wedding had to be postponed like many others this year. Instead, they opted for a September wedding, celebrating their wedding ceremony at ‘Bubaqra Chapel in Zurrieq following a reception at the Olive Gardens. The wedding venue has incredible views of Malta’s old capital city, Mdina.

Lara & Chris | Xara Lodge | Wedding
I had the pleasure of shooting Lara and Chris’ wedding day back in August. They had chosen to have their ceremony at Birzebbugia Parish Church, following a reception at Xara Lodge. This was my first time shooting a wedding at this stunning venue. From the moment I met Lara and Chris I knew their wedding was going to be a blast. Here are some of my favourite moments of the day.

Sarah & Julian | Pre-Wedding | Hagar Qim & Wied iz-Zurrieq
I already had a pre-wedding session at Hagar Qim earlier this year. However, you’ll notice how the landscape changes over the different seasons. Since Sarah & Julian’s pre-wedding was in December, you’ll see much more greenery. We were lucky enough to have a nice day right after a big rainstorm, which gave us the possibility to take some creative reflective photos.
We then ended the session at Wied iz-Zurrieq just in time for sunset. Sharing some of my favourites below.

Christina & Jurgen | Pre-Wedding | Birgu
Christina and Jurgen picked Birgu for their pre-wedding location. Birgu offers unique narrow and winding streets and historic buildings which make it a perfect location for a pre-wedding session. It is also much less busy than Mdina and Valletta, but still offers the traditional Maltese architectural features like bright coloured doors and wooden balconies.
To end the session, we headed to the Birgu Waterfront just in time for golden hour. Sharing some of my favourites from Christina and Jurgen’s pre-wedding.

Grecia & Josef | Pre-Wedding | Hastings & Manoel Theatre
As a wedding photographer, it is always nice to try something different and I remember getting really excited when Grecia and Josef mentioned they wanted to have their pre-wedding at Manoel Theatre. Having met at the theatre, this location was perfect to capture this special day.
We started off with some couple portraits at the Hastings Garden just in time for golden hour. Hope you like this shoot as much as I do.

Abigail & Kevin | Pre-Wedding | L-Ahrax tal-Mellieha & Torri l-Ahmar
I have been to l-Ahrax tal-Mellieha for a photoshoot earlier this year, and I really liked how the photos turned out so when Abigail and Kevin asked me for ideas for their pre-wedding location, I immediately suggested there.
We ended the session at St Agatha’s Tower (a.k.a Torri l-Ahmar) a couple of minutes drive away just in time for sunset. Here are some of my favourites of the day.

Martha & Ashraf | Pre-Wedding | Mdina & Migra l-Ferha
This session was full of joy and laughter, thanks to Ashraf’s bubbly character. The photos speak for themselves, as it shows that both Martha and Ashraf really enjoyed it. I love how natural and candid these photos turned out..
We started off with a couple of photos in Malta’s silent city, Mdina. Then we headed off to Migra l-Ferha just in time for sunset.

Desiree & Daniel | Pre-Wedding | Selmun Malta
It was my first time shooting a pre-wedding session at Selmun, and I’m really glad that Desiree and Daniel picked Selmun for their pre-wedding location. Stunning scenery, and Desiree and Daniel were so easy to photograph. Really looking forward to their wedding in a few weeks!

Anika & Christian | Chateau Buskett, Wedding
This was the special day of Anika and Christian. The bride and groom have been planning their wedding for several years, and had to postpone it multiple times. Finally, their wedding day has come and gone, and I am honoured to have been chosen to document this special day. Anika and Christian enjoyed their day to the full along with their family and friends at the magical Chateau Buskett.

Alessandra & Adam | Tal-Massar Winery, Gozo Wedding
I dare you to find a couple that loves wine more than Alessandra and Adam! We started off with the getting ready at the beautiful villages of Zebbug and Ghajnsielem in Gozo, followed by the ceremony at a small church in Ghajnsielem. Just after the ceremony, we were lucky enough to be in the peak of golden hour, so we headed off to Alessandra’s hometown in Nadur, to take some couple portraits.
Our final location for the day was Tal-Massar Winery, which was the perfect venue for the couple.

Tiziana & Mike | Putter's Inn, Wedding
Who said seated weddings during the pandemic have to be boring! With an epic groom’s speech, tequila shots and a fun couple, this wedding was brilliant! To top it all off, the view of the Malta’s national Golf course was the perfect backdrop to Tiziana and Mike’s wedding.
Hope you love the photos as much as I do..

Anika & Christian | Pre-Wedding | Mdina & Dingli Cliffs
After a lot of obstacles, Anika and Christian’s big day is finally happening! I really enjoyed photographing this family, and the bond between them is truly amazing. Started this session by heading to the silent city of Mdina. The narrow streets and colourful doors are wonderful backdrops. We then finished the session at Dingli cliffs to capture the last few minutes of daylight

Lara & Chris | Pre-Wedding | Valletta & Golden Bay
Since my pre-wedding sessions usually last around two hours, a lot of couple opt for having it in two different locations. I was super happy when Lara and Chris suggested we start off at our capital city, then head over to Ghajn Tuffieha for a completely different look.
I just love how these photos turned out as everything came together perfectly. Lara and Chris are so easy to work with, and the photos speak for themselves!

Buskett & Mdina Pre-Wedding Session | Stephanie & Chris
It has been a while since I have been to Buskett Gardens for a shoot, and this shoot has reminded me why it is so popular. The weather was perfect, and with not many people around, we couldn't ask for more. Our second location of choice was Mdina which was the cherry on the cake. We really enjoyed this session and it was great spending time with Stephanie and Chris, and I just can’t wait for their wedding. It’s going to be a blast!

Alessandra & Adam's Pre-Wedding at Ahrax Mellieha and the Red Tower
While planning the pre-wedding session, we had initially planned to go to Ta Qali National Park. However, there is some construction going on at the moment and the park was closed. We had to pick a new location and I suggested l-Ahrax tal-Mellieha and St Agatha’s Tower (a.k.a Torri l-Ahmar). As a person who loves camping and the outdoors, I have been to l-Ahrax tal-Mellieha many times before with friends. For some reason though, I have never had a photoshoot there, and to be honest, I don’t think I ever saw a pre-wedding session from other local photographers either. Not sure why as it is a beautiful location with a lot of photo opportunities.

Stunning Pre-Wedding session at Hagar Qim
After months of postponing several weddings and pre-Wedding shoots (including this one due to bad weather), I am so excited to finally share a few of my favorites from the first pre-wedding session of the year!
When I asked Annalise & Terence if they had a location in mind for their pre-wedding, they immediately mentioned Hagar Qim and Imnajdra, overlooking Filfla. Although I live close by, for some reason I have never been. I am so glad they suggested this location, and we had a great sunset to top it all off!
