My couples tend to share a few things in common. They want to enjoy their wedding day rather than be directed through it. They care more about how the day felt than how it looked staged. They value discretion, calm, and quality and they're looking for a photographer who will blend in, stay present, and deliver something genuinely timeless.

My style of photography

Candid.

For most of your wedding day, I work as a fly on the wall. No directing, no interrupting, just quiet, attentive presence. My job is to disappear into the background so you can be fully present in yours.

Creative.

The time set aside for portraits is yours to enjoy, not endure. I'll offer gentle direction if you want it, but mostly I'm just looking for the moments between the poses, when you forget I'm there and just look at each other.

About me

I'm Matthew, a documentary wedding photographer based in Malta, with over eight years of experience working with couples across the islands and beyond. I believe the best wedding photos are the ones you didn't know were being taken. My approach is quiet and unhurried: I blend into your day, stay out of the way, and focus entirely on the moments that matter. The result is a collection of images that don't just show how your day looked, they show how it felt.

I work with a small number of couples each year so I can give every wedding the time and attention it deserves.

I take on a limited number of weddings each year to ensure every couple receives my full attention. Currently accepting bookings for 2027 and 2028.
